Welcome to Appi Ski & Snowboard School
Snow sports have a history of more than 100 years since skiing was first introduced in Japan in 1911.
In response to the evolution and diversification of equipment and changes in the environment, Appi Ski & Snowboard School will be celebrating its 38th season with all the new students. Thank you for your continued patronage.
As the field continues to expand and new ways of enjoyment emerge, we are committed to ensuring that our lessons always meet the most critical requirements of "safety and security". Despite any inconveniences caused by lifestyle changes, we will continue to warmly welcome you, assisting in improving your skills, promoting your health, and providing our hospitality.

If you have a private lesson instructor designated, please make a reservation by phone. Nominated reservations cannot be made online.

Time: From 8:15 until 20 minutes before the start of gymnastics for each lesson
*Because it is very crowded during the year-end and New Year holidays and weekends and holidays, please cooperate with the early reception.

Check-in Instructions on the Day of the Lesson:
Please apply in advance using one of the following methods before the reservation deadline for each lesson menu.

Crayon Shin-chan Kids School: 2023/12/9
Reservations must be made exclusively through our online platform.
To initiate a reservation, kindly submit a request by selecting the preferred lesson content and desired date.
Please note that reservations for dates without a selected date will not be considered. Reservation requests sent via email or telephone will not be accepted.
Ensure your reservation request is submitted by 5:00 p.m. two days prior to the desired lesson date. After this deadline, lessons will only be available if there is space at the reception desk.
Payment Deadlines and Reservation Policies:
Ensure timely payment confirmation at least 7 days before your scheduled lesson to avoid automatic cancellation. Your reservation will be finalized upon payment completion. If scheduling a lesson less than 7 days in advance, kindly make payment within 48 hours.
In the event of lesson cancellation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, your deposit will be refunded. Cancellations for illness or other reasons may incur a fee in adherence to our cancellation policy.
For private lesson instructor nominations, contact us via email or phone post-confirmation. Please be aware that instructor availability may impact our ability to fulfill your request promptly.
Check-in Instructions:
On the day of your lesson, please follow the check-in procedures as outlined below:
*For Crayon Shin-chan Kids School users, please sign up at the main reception desk and then gather at the indoor slope on the first floor of the plaza 20 minutes before the start of the warm-up exercises.
General Check-in (excluding Crayon Shin-chan Kids School):
Time: The reception desk opens at 8：30～9：30、12：30～13：00. Please check-in at least 20 minutes before the warm-up exercises start. During check-in, we will verify your application details.
*Please arrive at the reception desk early during the year-end, New Year's holidays, weekends, and national holidays, as these times tend to be crowded.
Location: School Reception Counter in the Appi Resort Center.
Please note:
- Lift tickets are not included in the fee; please prepare them if necessary.
- Two dedicated escalators are used for lessons, depending on the skier's level.
- Rental equipment is not included; please consider renting early as the rental area may become crowded.

Requests and notes regarding safety during lessons

Skiing and snowboarding are enjoyable sports that promote physical and mental health while allowing you to connect with nature. However, it's essential to be aware that poor visibility or snow quality, fatigue or carelessness, and crowded slopes can increase the risk of falling or colliding with other skiers, boarders, or obstacles. Please participate in these activities with the understanding that inherent dangers exist.

Choosing suitable equipment based on your goals, fitness level, and experience is crucial not only for improving your technique but also for ensuring a fun, comfortable, and safe lesson. If you have any questions regarding equipment, feel free to contact the rental or school staff. Rental equipment is available at the ski resort to assist you.

To minimize the risks associated with snow sports and prevent accidents, prioritize getting sufficient rest before and during your participation and try to ski in the best possible condition. If you're not feeling well, it's perfectly acceptable to decline participation.

For your safety, we strongly recommend wearing a helmet, as it is considered an essential item to prevent serious accidents.

During the lessons, the staff will guide you through warm-up exercises, and cool-down routines, which are highly effective in preventing injuries. Additionally, we encourage you to remember and perform these exercises on your own.

Accident insurance premiums are included in each lesson plan, but we strongly recommend obtaining an optional accident insurance with adequate coverage in advance.

Except for private lessons, all other lessons are group activities with multiple participants. Please follow the instructor's instructions, adhere to the meeting time, starting order, and other guidelines to help prevent accidents and ensure a smoother lesson experience.

Our instructors are dedicated to providing safe, enjoyable, and meaningful lessons for you. We kindly ask that you also observe general etiquette and rules while using the ski resort facilities to make the most of your time here. Thank you for your cooperation.
